Haslla Art World

Hello friends! Are you looking for an amazing Korean experience that is weird and wonderful and decidedly off the beaten track? Haslla Art World is gorgeous, dramatic and a whole lot of fun.  A multi layered sculpture park  with breathtaking views out to the East sea, Haslla Art World is filled with quirky sculptures and interactive installations.  There are over 24 hectares  packed with sculptures and installations. There’s an indoor museum with fantastic Korean artists and the museum is also a hotel! Each room is colourful and unique.

We spent an exciting afternoon exploring Haslla Art World, a day of fun discoveries. The children loved it!

Haslla Art World is 13 kilometers from the east coast city of Gangneung. We did not stay at the hotel but took a taxi from Gangneung, and then a bus back. The bus leaves from the road below the hill Haslla Art World is situated on. The museum can also call you a taxi if you wish.

This is a top ten Korean experience! Go on a clear day, ours was often misty and while we could still see the ocean a blue sky would have been even more amazing. Bring a picnic and water as there are no shops nearby and the restaurant is only open in the evening. You can spend many hours here and still feel you must have missed something!
